Sean Conway’s quest to cycle around the world for SolarAid
On 18th February 2012, one very motivated young man will take to the life-changing challenge of cycling 18,000 around the world in 150 day, all to raise £100,000 for SolarAid.
Strating from Grenwich, London, Sean Conway will take to his bike and cycle to Portsmouth, take a ferry to France, and make his travels to Monaco. From here he will make his way to South America, then head to Peru. From Peru he hopes to take Route 66 across America, ending in LA. Then he will fly over to New Zealand, then make his way over to Australia, through to Singapore and onwards to Bangkok. He will then fly over to India and take his route from Calcutta to Mumbai where he will take his last flight to Istanbul, cycling back to London.
This, somewhat exhausting task will see Sean tackle the elements, all to raise awareness and money for SolarAid.
One Charity which helps to tackle both poverty and climate change, SolarAid has been our chosen charity for many years which is why JHS Solar Solutions are fully supportive of Sean’s efforts to raise money and awareness for such a brilliant charity. Communities in Africa will be able to live in the light with the help of kind donations made to SolarAid, and through Sean’s fundraising, plenty of schools and students will finally receive the renewable electricity required to make a difference.
