Our installation was completed in November on schedule as arranged some 2 months earlier. This in the face of the then recent changes to tariff rates was impressive. Dear JHS,

When my wife and I retired we were looking to find somewhere to invest our retirement money that would give us a reasonable return. We had heard of Solar PV panels but new little about them. We checked out a number of web sites and checked on the companies registered with appropriate agencies.

We got two recommendations and one we chose from the internet to get three quotes. I must say it did open up a whole new world to both of us. The quotes ranged from £9,000 to £15,000 for basically the same system. We decided to do more research on the companies. At this time we were being pressurised by one company offering a reduced price if we signed up straight away, with weekly phone calls and e-mails to the extent we had to tell them we would make up our mind and let them know and not to contact us again.

After carrying out research and receiving a very comprehensive specification document from JHS Solar Solutions we decided to purchase a system from them they were not the most expensive. The system was installed on the 7^th September 2011. The weather was dreadful and the two teams of their own installers were very polite, professional and considerate and kept us informed of what they were doing at all times. They explained everything to us down to the last detail and when they had left we felt confident we knew everything a user has to know.

It is now six weeks since the system has been installed and we are very pleased, it is performing as specified. It has produced 411kwh of electricity saved 635lb Co2 and £185.00 to the feed in tariff; we do not know the saving on our electricity at present. The savings are important but the reduction of Co2 was a great surprise and can only benefit all of us.

JHS were prompt at coming to inspect the premises and within about 45 minutes had come up with several plans with outline prices – no flannel!

Following subsequent discussion, I went for one of the offers, but due to illness I had to delay the installation and JHS was very understanding about this.

In the event the installation went ahead and JHS came when they said, installed the system and it worked.

I am very happy with the performance, achieving some 11% better than estimated despite snow covered panels for a week in December 2010 and a very dull February in 2011

Just a little letter to say thank you for what a wonderful job you all did installing our PV system. We were very impressed with the professional way the whole operation was carried out, from beginning to end.

All the team were willing to answer any questions we put to them, even allowing us to take photos of them installing the PV equipment. The whole installation only took three days. Luckily they had fine weather throughout. At the end of the installation they gave us a complete run down on the PV system which was not much, as there are no moving components and it is very simple to look after.

JHS installed a 3.78 kWp solar PV system on our property just over a year ago. It has greatly reduced our electricity bills and has been working to the predicted efficiency despite the rotten summer.
