Newbuild Projects

When embarking on building a new property, if you are considering a solar PV installation, we recommend that you consult us during the preliminary stage of the project, before your designs have been finalised. We can work alongside your architect on  all aspects of the design including the size of the array, location,possible changes to roof design in order to maximise output or the need to move potential obstacles that might have a detrimental impact on the performance of the system. We will then be in a position to recommend the most suitable products from our range of panels, tiles or slates, delivering the bespoke system you require.

Retrofit Projects

If you wish to install solar photovoltaic panels on an existing property we recommend that you consider the following questions:

»Do you have a south facing roof? This is the optimum, however as long as you have approximately 8m² of uninterrupted roof space with an aspect between east and west we can install a solar system with a performance that will optimise a return on your investment.

»Is the property listed or in a conservation area? If yes, you will need to obtain planning permission.

»Are there obstacles on the roof, such as flues or roof lights, that will limit the size of array we can install?

»Are there any shading issues, for example, trees close to the property which will limit the performance of the solar installation?
